📅 Next Rainbow Service Board Meeting –

The Overeaters Anonymous Rainbow Specific Focus Service Board (OA Rainbow) is dedicated to supporting our LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Allies) members within Overeaters Anonymous. This newsletter will bring you news of what we are doing for the LGBTQ+ community in OA.
✨Vacancies
There are two open positions on the Board: Secretary and Region 9 Representative. Feel moved to do service? Contact us for more information on these positions.
✨Virtual Region Newcomer Open House
OA Rainbow will be hosting a meeting on October 25 as part of the VR's Newcomer Open House session. If you would like to help out, we need two main speakers, a chair for the meeting, chat monitor, and co-hosts for security. Email us for more details. All are welcome!
✨Seventh Tradition
If you are part of an LGBTQ+ OA group, please consider passing along part of your Seventh Tradition to help fund OA Rainbow's activities. For example, we would like to send our WSBC Delegate to Albuquerque, New Mexico to represent us at the World Service Business Conference next May. You can donate directly through our website using PayPal. Every little bit helps!
✨We Need You! Join a Committee in Service
As we begin this new chapter, we are inviting you — the heart of our fellowship — to join us in service. We’re forming four committees, and your voice and participation are welcome, whether you’re new to OA or have years of experience. Each of us on the executive will help co-chair a committee:
🛠️ 1. Service Board Renewal/Inventory Committee
Help us assess and renew how the Rainbow Service Board functions so we can best serve our mission and membership.
📄 2. Document Review Committee
Support the review and update of key OA Rainbow documents to ensure clarity, inclusiveness, and alignment with OA principles.
🎉 3. Events Committee
Join in planning inspiring events — from speaker meetings to workshops — that build connection and deepen recovery.
🌍 4. Outreach Committee (Member/Service Body)
Help us reach out to individuals and service bodies across the Rainbow OA community to promote engagement and participation.
