The Overeaters Anonymous Rainbow Specific Focus Service Board (OA Rainbow) is dedicated to supporting our LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Allies) members within Overeaters Anonymous. This newsletter will bring you news of what we are doing for the LGBTQ+ community in OA.

There are two open positions on the Board: Vice Chair and Secretary. Feel moved to do service? Contact us for more information on these positions.

 

✨Events Committee

We invite you to join OA Rainbow's Events Committee, a warm and welcoming service opportunity dedicated to strengthening connection and deepening recovery within our fellowship. Our committee organizes inspiring speaker meetings, meaningful workshops, and other recovery-focused events that bring members together in unity, support, and shared experience. Whether you’re new to service or have years of involvement, your ideas, energy, and compassion can help create spaces where hope is shared, healing grows, and recovery thrives. Come be part of a team that makes a difference—one event, one connection, and one day at a time.

✨Documents Review Committee

We unanimously approved the creation of a brand-new *Documents Review Committee* ✍️ — a team that will help shape and strengthen the future of our fellowship by reviewing and updating our Bylaws, Policy Manual, Standing Rules, Website and other materials.

💡 This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of something foundational — ensuring our service structure reflects our values, supports our growth, and serves our groups effectively.

🕗 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Eastern Time)

✨Sponsorship List

We are seeking volunteers to help craft a clear and thoughtful privacy policy that will allow us to create a safe and confidential sponsorship list for the LGBTQ+ community within Overeaters Anonymous. Your support will help ensure that members feel protected, respected, and comfortable sharing their information as they seek/offer sponsorship. If you have experience with privacy guidelines, policy writing, or simply a willingness to contribute to this important service, we warmly invite you to join us. Together, we can build a trusted resource that strengthens connection, supports recovery, and honors OA’s commitment to anonymity.

 

✨Seventh Tradition

If you are part of an LGBTQ+ OA group, please consider passing along part of your Seventh Tradition to help fund OA Rainbow's activities. For example, we would like to send our WSBC Delegate to Albuquerque, New Mexico to represent us at the World Service Business Conference next May. You can donate directly through our website using PayPal. Every little bit helps!
